Finally a bit faster - day fifth

Semptember 23th 2007

Capt. Kaczorowski's position: 37 degrees 51.03N, 012 degrees 31.78W. Position 53, 371 miles to the first leg's line as of 0500 UTC, September 23rd 2007.

After this night Jarek moved two positions up in the classification. The "east option" finally brings profit. Allianz.pl is currently in the zone where the wind is a bit stronger. Stronger than that which is experienced by the competitors from the "west option". If the weather conditions remain unchanged, the following day and night could be lucky for the Polish sailor.

According to the latest weather forecasts the wind strength will rise on the east side of the fleet and the boats which are ahead of Allianz.pl can already experience this. Owing to that our colleagues from Adria Mobile Team (also the "east option") have moved up in the rank on the 7th (Andraz) and thirteenth (Kris) place respectively.

Two places up in the ranking

Capt. Kaczorowski's position: 37 degrees 51.03N, 012 degrees 31.78W. Position 53, 371 miles the first leg's line - data of 0500 UTC, September 23rd 2007.

The "east option" won. Unfortunately, a bit under expectations and too late. Jarek still experiences a stronger wind in comparison to the rest of competitors and this will remain unchanged during the next 24 hours. He will definitely be able to overtake a few or even several sailors, however, Jarek's result will most probably be under our expectations and his skills. I believe Jaro is already tired and would like reach Funchal as fast as possible.

This leg with a weak wind definitely got in this hair!

Regards from Madeira,
Marek Goły Gałkiewicz
