The Gulf of Gdansk Blue Ribbon Regatta On Saturday, September 30th 2006, Capt. Kaczorowski together with his crew Marek Galkiewicz took part in the Gulf of Gdansk Blue Ribbon Regatta organized annually by Yacht Club "Stal". It was the last regatta in this sailing season held on Polish waters. The class of catamarans crossed the finishing line first, as usual when the weather is nice, the wind is twisted and not too strong. Monohulls reaching the line after them looked equally beautiful. In such weather conditions, the presence of Allianz.pl PL 508 in the regatta undoubtedly graced the competition. However, this time the racing capabilities of the boat has not been used. The winners of the 55th edition of the Blue Ribbon were UKS NAVIGO SOPOT - crew: Jacek Noetzel / Jerzy Białek aboard Eagle F20 (catamaran). Allianz was the main sponsor of the regatta for the Gulf of Gdansk Blue Ribbon. Click on the thumbnails to view larger images. |

End of regatta. Press Conference. The ceremony of closing the regatta took place in the hall of Yacht Club 'Stal'. One of the honorable guests was Olga Doan, Vice-President of the Management Board of Allianz Polska - main sponsor of Gulf of Gdansk Blue Ribbon Regatta . After the ceremony Capt. Kaczorowski took part in the press conference led by Jerzy Boj, TVP3 Gdansk journalist. Jaro talked about his project - this year's qualifications and his plans concerning the start in next year's Transat 6.50 race.
